Our story

Blessed to dressCardiff well.

Supreme Blessedness began with a rail of occasion gowns and a belief that people deserve honest advice, proper fitting and beautiful presentation whatever they spend. Five years on, that belief runs through five categories, a Cardiff showroom and a growing list of trade partners.

The founder

Started at a kitchen table with a tape measure.

Before the showroom, before the counter, there was a founder measuring friends for weddings in a Llanrumney living room and refusing to sell a dress that did not fit. That refusal became the boutique’s first rule and it still is: nothing leaves unless it is right.

The name comes from a family saying — that to be well dressed for the moments that matter is a kind of blessing. It set the tone for the business: generous, unhurried and unafraid to say “not that one, try this”.

Today the team includes a tailoring specialist, a jewellery buyer with hallmarking experience and a watch technician, all of whom you will meet if you visit.

How we choose

Three checks before anything reaches the rail.

  1. 01MakeConstruction is inspected first: seams, linings, boning, clasps, movements. Anything that will not survive a year of wear is declined.
  2. 02TruthFabric compositions are verified against supplier documentation; gold is checked for hallmarks and weighed; watches are tested on the timegrapher.
  3. 03WearSomeone on the team wears or handles each piece for a day. If it scratches, sags or clings, it does not go on sale.

What we stand for

Four things that do not change.

  • Honesty over hype

    Weights, carats, fabric compositions and garment measurements are published, not implied. If a piece is not right for you, we will say so.

  • Edited, not endless

    A short list in every category and a rail that changes every few weeks. We would rather stock twelve pieces we believe in than a hundred we tolerate.

  • Finished properly

    Alterations, sizing, steaming and presentation are part of the purchase, not upsells.

  • The same care at trade

    Wholesale partners get the same quality checks, packaging and honesty as a customer at the counter.

Milestones

Five years, ten categories.

  1. 2021

    A single occasion-wear rail opens by appointment in Llanrumney, dressing wedding guests and family celebrations across South Wales.

  2. 2022

    Women's daywear and tailoring join the rail after customers ask for pieces they can wear between events.

  3. 2023

    The jewellery counter opens with hallmarked 9ct and 18ct gold, weighed in front of the customer from day one.

  4. 2024

    Men's tailoring and the watch cabinet complete the original five categories; the first boutiques begin stocking our occasion capsules.

  5. 2025

    Supreme Blessedness Boutique Limited is incorporated and the wholesale programme is formalised for UK partners.

  6. 2026

    The online boutique launches with retail checkout, a dedicated trade portal and ten categories — kids' and African wear, bags, shoes, accessories and designer pieces join the rail.
